Every word counts

Build vocabulary faster through adaptive AI conversation.

Early access to Nizdos begins with an AI Tutor designed for learners from A2 to advanced proficiency. Set it to your level, use it for real questions and conversation, and let the Vocabulary Engine learn from the words you meet.

Additional languages and a library of classic books with selected audiobook editions are in development. Founder’s Circle members will help shape which languages, books, and learning surfaces come first.

What Founder’s Circle members get first

Early access starts with the conversational core: an adaptive AI Tutor, the Vocabulary Engine, and optional focused review for the vocabulary you are actually meeting.

AI Tutor

Use Nizdos as your everyday AI chat in the language you’re learning: questions, planning, drafting, explanations, recommendations, and conversation practice. The Tutor brings back words you’re learning at useful moments, so reinforcement happens inside real conversation.

Early access

Level adjustment

Set the Tutor from A2 through advanced proficiency, so conversation stays tuned to your level.

Early access

Nizdos Vocabulary Engine

Words you meet in conversation contribute to the same picture of what you know, so vocabulary can return when it is useful.

Early access

Optional review

Vocabulary review already happens as you chat with the AI Tutor. If you want extra focused review, flashcards are integrated with the same Vocabulary Engine.

Early access

In development: the classics library

These are the first French and Spanish works planned for the library, where we’ll initially focus on literature and philosophy from the 16th to the early 20th century. The reading experience will connect to the same Vocabulary Engine, so words you meet in books can shape review and Tutor conversation too.

Common questions

Is payment required now?

No. Joining the waitlist does not require payment or commitment. First Founder’s Circle invitations begin in November 2026. If you receive an invitation, you’re under no obligation to join. If you decide not to, the spot will be offered to someone else on the list.

Which languages does Nizdos offer?

Founder’s Circle early access will begin with French and Spanish. Other languages will be prioritized partly based on what Founder’s Circle members most want next. Future library support for new languages will also depend on book and audio availability.

What about books and audiobooks?

The first Founder’s Circle experience starts with the AI Tutor, Vocabulary Engine, and optional flashcard review. The reading library and selected audiobook editions are in development, beginning with the first shelf shown above.

I already use flashcards and/or AI chat. Why use Nizdos?

Most tools treat chat as a separate place to practice. In Nizdos, Tutor conversation is connected to the Vocabulary Engine: it introduces useful new words through real exchange, and it can bring vocabulary back into view when another encounter would help it stick.

I’m a complete beginner in my target language. Is Nizdos for me?

Not yet. Nizdos is currently suited to learners who can already spend some time in the language. A2 learners can use it, but the first release is generally best suited to B1 learners and above. Beginner-friendly reading materials are planned after the first release.

Does Nizdos have flashcards?

Yes. Flashcards are optional, but they are not an afterthought: they are fully integrated with the Nizdos Vocabulary Engine, so focused review draws on and informs the same picture of what you know as Tutor conversation and future reading/listening surfaces.

What does “Nizdos” mean?

The name “Nizdos” is based on the prehistoric Proto-Indo-European word “nisdós” meaning “nest”. In fact, “nisdós” directly evolved into the English word “nest”. It also evolved into “nīdus” in Latin (then “nido” in Spanish), “hnízdo” in Czech, and “nīḍá” (नी॒ड) in Sanskrit, to name a few other examples, all meaning “nest”. Nizdos is your nest of language acquisition, where your abilities develop and grow.
